First, on a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being optimal well-being) . Starting with my physical well-being, I will give it a rating of 5. I exercise 5 days by taking my son on an hour walk in his stroller. I need to do more cardio. I rate my spiritual well-being at 7. I attend church every week, but I do not always make the time to read my Bible and pray every day. I want to start reading my bible everyday. I give my psychological well-being a rating of 7. I do need to work on keeping my stress level down but for the most part I am fine.
Chelsey,
ReplyDeleteGood for you, taking time for yourself as a mother is so very important. I always refer to the example of being on an airplane while the flight attendant instructs passengers to always secure their oxygen mask first before providing assistance to others. This applies to us woman who wear multiple hats of mother, chef, chauffeur, referee and housekeeper to name a few. How can we give the best of ourselves if we don't make daily deposits of spirituality, healthy eating, physical fitness and emotional health? As woman, it is not selfish to put ourselves first it is an act of love and kindness to those who rely on us the most.
